# Moonleap: full site content > The readable text of https://moonleap.app in plain Markdown, generated 2026-10-15 from the site's pages. Moonleap is an iPhone app that charts a baby's ten developmental leaps from the due date. Short overview: https://moonleap.app/llms.txt. General information, not medical advice. Beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/tqqUBfAu (free public TestFlight beta for iPhone; the App Store listing goes live at release) --- ## Home Source: https://moonleap.app/ ### The leap chart that learns your baby See when your baby's growth leaps are coming, what they're learning, and how to play along. Ask anything with private AI that runs on your iPhone, and watch the chart fit itself to your baby. Opens Apple's TestFlight. If you don't have it, your iPhone will offer to install it first (free), then tap Accept and Install. #### Babies don't read the chart Leap charts are a helpful map, but parents tell the same two stories again and again. ##### "The dates were off for us" Leaps often arrive a week early or late. A chart that only predicts, and never checks, leaves you second-guessing at 3 a.m. ##### "I had to pay before I saw anything" Nobody wants to subscribe to an app they've never tried, especially with a newborn and no sleep. #### Three taps to your baby's chart ##### Add the due date Leaps follow the due date, not the birthday, so premature babies are counted right. ##### See the moons Ten leaps to about 18 months. Each one waxes to a full moon at its peak, then wanes into calm. ##### Play and write it down Tick the signs, try a game made for this leap, and keep a diary that sorts itself by leap. ##### Ask Moonleap anything "Is this a leap or teething?" Answers are written on your iPhone by Apple's on-device model, from Moonleap's guide and your own diary, with the sources shown. Nothing you type leaves your phone, and questions about symptoms always point you to your doctor. ##### Fitted to your baby, not a template Rate each day with one tap. Moonleap compares the moods with the leaps and, when your baby runs early or late, offers to move the whole chart. Scrub to any week, and add every leap to your calendar. ##### Night mode Red light and low brightness, "Is this a leap?" answered from your baby's own chart, a calm checklist to work through, and soft brown noise. Note the night in one tap. ##### What to do, not just what to expect Every leap has games built for the skills it brings, with photos, what you need and simple steps. Widgets on the Home and Lock Screen show the moon and the days to calm. ##### A month worth keeping Your notes and photos become a monthly card, with a short recap written on your iPhone. Share it with grandparents, or send the whole diary to your partner: it merges, nothing is overwritten. #### The answer is on your Lock Screen No need to open the app at 3 a.m. Widgets show the moon and the days to calm, today's leap can sit in the Dynamic Island, and the evening check-in is answered with one tap, right from the notification. #### One calm app for the first 20 months The chart, the signs, the diary, the rhythm, Ask Moonleap, night mode and widgets are free. Plus adds the full content. ##### Leap chart from the due date Ten leaps drawn as moons, counted from the due date so premature babies are counted right. ##### A chart that learns Rate each day in one tap. When your baby runs early or late, Moonleap offers to move the chart. ##### Ask Moonleap Private, on-device AI answers from Moonleap's guide and your diary, with sources. ##### Signs to notice What you might see in each leap, to tick off as it happens. ##### 120 new skills What your baby is learning now, grouped by senses, movement, talking, people and thinking. ##### 150 milestones Common age windows, not deadlines. Each tick lands in the diary with the date. ##### 80 play ideas Simple games for each leap, with photos, what you need and easy steps. ##### Diary with photos Notes, photos and firsts, tagged with the leap they happened in. ##### Your baby's rhythm Daily moods drawn over the leaps, so you can see what really fits. ##### Night mode Red light, “Is this a leap?”, a calm checklist and soft brown noise for 3 a.m. ##### Widgets and Live Activity The moon and the days to calm on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. ##### One-tap check-in An evening notification you answer right from the Lock Screen, plus leap reminders. ##### Leaps in your calendar Every leap added to your iPhone calendar in one tap. ##### Newborn weeks What to expect in weeks 1 to 4, before the first leap. ##### Leap Story Each month becomes a card with photos and a short recap to share with family. ##### Made for both parents Send the diary to your partner; it merges without overwriting. Plus works with Family Sharing. ##### iCloud sync Your own devices stay in step through your private iCloud. ##### Several babies Twins or siblings, each with their own chart and diary. ##### 49 languages From Arabic to Vietnamese, including right-to-left. ##### No account No sign-up and no tracking. Your baby's data stays yours. PLUS = part of Moonleap Plus. Leaps 1 and 2 are free in full, including their skills and play ideas. Ask Moonleap is free for 3 questions a day; written answers need an iPhone with Apple Intelligence. #### Free to start. Pay once if you like it. Researchers noticed that many babies go through short, fussy stretches at similar ages, counted from the due date, often followed by new skills. Moonleap maps ten of them over the first 18 months or so. Timing varies by a week or two, and every baby is different. ##### Why the due date and not the birthday? Brain development follows the time since conception, so a baby born three weeks early usually reaches each leap three weeks later than their birthday suggests. ##### Is this medical advice? No. It's general information to help you understand fussy days. If your baby has a fever, feeds poorly, or cries in a way that worries you, call your doctor. ##### Do I need an account? No. Your baby's data stays on your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud if you sync your devices. There is no sign-up and no tracking. Anonymous usage stats and crash reports help us improve the app; you can switch them off in Settings. ##### Does the AI send my questions anywhere? No. Ask Moonleap uses Apple's on-device model, so questions and answers never leave your iPhone. It needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence; on other iPhones Moonleap shows the matching pages of its guide instead. It is not a doctor, and symptom questions are always pointed to yours. ##### Can my partner use it too? Yes. Send your baby's diary from Settings; on their iPhone it merges without overwriting anything, and they can send theirs back. Plus is shared through Apple Family Sharing at no extra cost. ##### When is my baby's next leap? Count from the due date: the first leap usually starts around week 5, then nine more follow until about 18 months. Moonleap shows your baby's dates, and the free leap calculator works in any browser. ##### How much does Moonleap cost? The chart, the signs for every leap and the diary are free. Moonleap Plus is $29.99 once, $19.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $3.99 a month (US prices). ##### Can I cancel? Yes, in one tap from your iPhone's Settings. We remind you two days before a free trial ends. Or skip subscriptions and pay once. #### The fussy days have a rhythm Find your baby's. Free on iPhone, in beta on TestFlight. --- ## Free baby leap calculator Source: https://moonleap.app/leap-calculator ### Baby leap calculator Enter your baby's due date to see when each of the 10 developmental leaps is likely to start, peak and pass. --- ## Comparison: Moonleap and other leap and play apps Source: https://moonleap.app/wonder-weeks-alternative Compared · October 2026 ### Looking for a Wonder Weeks alternative? The Wonder Weeks app is the best-known way to follow a baby's developmental leaps. Some parents want something different: a free chart, no account, or more ideas for play. Here is what else is out there and what each app is good for. Written by the maker of Moonleap, so we are not neutral. We've tried to be fair: everything about other apps comes from their public US App Store and Google Play listings, read in October 2026, and may have changed since. Check the listing before you decide. #### At a glance | App | Best for | Price to start | | --- | --- | --- | | Moonleap | A leap chart from the due date that you can see before paying, with no account | Free chart, signs and diary; Plus from $3.99/mo | | The Wonder Weeks | The original leap chart, with a large parent community | Subscription (see below) | | Kinedu | A daily activity plan from pregnancy to age 6 | Free to download | | BabySparks | Daily activities with video tutorials, ages 0–3 | Free to download | | Lovevery app | Families using Lovevery's Play Kits | Free to download | | CDC's Milestone Tracker | Checking milestones and knowing when to talk to a doctor | Free | #### Moonleap - iPhone - Ages 0 to about 18 months - No account A chart of ten developmental leaps, counted from the due date so premature babies are counted right. Each leap shows what may change in your baby's world, the signs you might notice, tips for the fussy days and when to call the doctor. Good for - Seeing the whole chart, dates and signs for every leap free, before paying anything - Babies who don't follow the chart: rate each day with one tap and Moonleap suggests shifting the timing to fit your baby - Privacy: no account and no ads; data stays on your iPhone and your own iCloud. Ask Moonleap answers questions with Apple's on-device model - 80 play activities by leap, 150 milestones, a diary tagged by leap, night mode, widgets Less good for - Android, iPad or web: it is iPhone only (iOS 17+). Written AI answers need Apple Intelligence - A parent community or forum: Moonleap has none - Children older than about 18 months Price: free for the chart, the signs for all ten leaps, leaps 1 and 2 in full and the diary. Moonleap Plus is $29.99 once, $19.99 a year with a 1-week free trial, or $3.99 a month, and is shared through Family Sharing. #### The Wonder Weeks - iPhone and Android - First 20 months The app behind the idea of "leaps": a personalised chart of ten mental leaps in the first 20 months, with what you can do to help. Its US listing showed a 4.8 rating from about 122,000 ratings at the time of writing. Good for - Parents who want the original, based on the authors' own research and book - A parent community inside the app, and content in many languages Worth knowing - At the time of writing, the US listing showed subscriptions of $4.99 a month, $9.99 for 3 months and $34.99 for 24 months, plus e-book chapters at $0.99 each - In App Store reviews we read (Canada, UK and New Zealand, October 2026), the most common complaint was having to pay before being able to look around, and some parents felt the dates didn't match their baby #### Kinedu - iPhone and Android - Pregnancy to age 6 A child development app that builds a daily plan of activities based on your baby's age and stage, with access to experts. Free to download. Pick it over Moonleap if - You want a daily activity plan that runs well past the first 18 months, or expert guidance Pick Moonleap if - What you mainly want is the leap chart and the "why is my baby fussy this week?" part #### BabySparks - iPhone and Android - Ages 0–3 A personalised daily activity programme for children up to 3, where each activity comes with a video tutorial, plus development and parenting articles. Free to download. Pick it over Moonleap if - You learn best from short videos, or your child is past 18 months Pick Moonleap if - You want play ideas tied to the leap your baby is in, alongside the leap chart and a diary #### Lovevery app - iPhone and Android - Ages 0–36 months Stage-based activities, tips and child development information, made as a companion to Lovevery's Play Kits subscription. Free to download; at the time of writing, the full app came with an active Play Kits subscription or a separate app subscription, after a free trial. Pick it over Moonleap if - You already get, or want, Lovevery's physical Play Kits Pick Moonleap if - You want play ideas without buying a kit, plus a leap chart #### CDC's Milestone Tracker - Free - 2 months to 5 years Free milestone checklists from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with photos and videos, tips, and what to do if you are ever concerned about your child's development. Use it alongside any of the apps above - If you are worried about your child's development, this checklist and your doctor are the right place to start. Moonleap is not a screening tool #### Looking for a feeding or sleep tracker? Apps like Huckleberry and Glow Baby log sleep, feeds and growth. Moonleap doesn't do that, so it isn't an alternative to them; many parents use one of those next to a leap app. #### How to choose - You want to know why this week is so fussy: a leap chart (Moonleap or The Wonder Weeks). - You want to see it before paying, with no sign-up: Moonleap's chart, signs and diary are free. - You want daily play plans past 18 months: Kinedu or BabySparks. - You are worried about a milestone: CDC's Milestone Tracker, and your doctor. Leaps describe common patterns, and timing varies by a week or two. Every baby is different, and none of these apps replaces your doctor. Moonleap is an independent app by Darko Jovanovski. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Wonder Weeks, its publisher or authors, Kinedu, BabySparks, Lovevery, Huckleberry, Glow or the CDC. All product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify those products. Facts about other apps were taken from their public App Store and Google Play listings in October 2026; if something here is out of date or wrong, write to hello@moonleap.app and we will fix it. --- ## Support Source: https://moonleap.app/support ### Support Questions, ideas or something not working? Write to hello@moonleap.app. A real person answers, usually within two working days. #### The leaps don't match my baby That's common: leaps often come a week early or late. Rate each day on the Today screen; after a few days the Diary shows your baby's own rhythm over the leaps. Then shift the timing in Settings → Leap timing, up to 7 days either way. #### Should I use the due date or the birthday? The due date. Leaps follow the time since conception, so a baby born early reaches each leap later than the birthday suggests. You can add the birthday too; it's shown as actual age. #### I don't get reminders Turn on Settings → Reminders in the app, and allow notifications for Moonleap in iOS Settings → Notifications. #### Restore Plus on a new iPhone Open the paywall or Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with. Plus can be shared with your family through Family Sharing. #### Cancel a subscription iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Moonleap Plus. You keep Plus until the end of the paid period. #### Move or delete my data Everything is stored on your iPhone and included in your iPhone backup. To remove it, use Settings → Delete all data in the app. --- ## Privacy policy Source: https://moonleap.app/privacy ### Privacy policy Effective 14 October 2026 (updated for analytics and crash reports). Moonleap is made by Darko Jovanovski, an independent developer based in North Macedonia ("we"). #### Data on your device Everything you enter is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone. We never receive it. It is included in your own iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on, under Apple's terms. #### iCloud sync If iCloud is on, Moonleap keeps your data in sync between your own devices through your private iCloud database, under Apple's terms. It is stored and protected by Apple; we have no access to it. You can turn sync off in Moonleap's Settings. #### Ask Moonleap and Leap Story (on-device AI) On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, answers and monthly recaps are written by Apple's on-device language model. Your question, the matching pages of Moonleap's guide and recent diary lines are processed on your iPhone only. Nothing is sent to our servers (we have none) or to Apple's servers for these features. On other iPhones, Moonleap searches its own guide on the device instead. #### Sharing with your partner "Send to your partner" creates a file with your baby's diary that you send yourself, for example by Messages or AirDrop. It goes only where you send it. When your partner opens it in Moonleap, it is merged into their app on their iPhone. #### Widgets To show the leap countdown on your Home and Lock Screen, Moonleap stores your baby's name and leap dates in a space shared only with its own widgets on your iPhone. #### Usage statistics and crash reports Moonleap uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect: which features are used (for example "a leap page was opened" or "night mode was opened", with a leap number at most), app version, device model, iOS version, language, approximate country derived from the IP address, a random app-instance identifier, and, if the app crashes, a technical crash report. They never receive your baby's name or photo, diary entries, moods, questions or answers, or anything you type. We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) or the vendor identifier, and analytics data is not used for advertising. Moonleap shows no ads. You can switch both off at any time in Moonleap → Settings → Privacy → "Share anonymous usage data". Google processes this data for us under its Firebase privacy terms; analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. #### Photos You pick photos with Apple's photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you choose; the app never asks for access to your library. Photos are resized and re-saved, which removes location data, and they stay on your iPhone. #### Notifications Leap reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings. #### Calendar "Add leaps to my calendar" creates a calendar file that you choose to open. The app does not read your calendar. #### Purchases Moonleap Plus is sold through Apple. Apple processes payment; we never see your payment details or Apple ID. The app checks your purchase on the device with StoreKit. #### Children Moonleap is for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children and does not collect information from them. #### Deleting your data In the app, Settings → Delete all data removes everything. Deleting the app does too. #### Your rights We hold no account or profile about you. Usage statistics and crash reports are linked only to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name or email, so we cannot look them up by person; switching off "Share anonymous usage data" stops further collection. If you have a question or a request, write to us. #### This website This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not track you across sites; it only records aggregate data such as the page visited, referrer, country and browser type. Cloudflare processes it for us under the Cloudflare privacy policy. #### Changes If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and the App Store privacy label. #### Contact hello@moonleap.app --- ## Terms of use Source: https://moonleap.app/terms ### Terms of use Effective 13 October 2026. These terms apply when you download or use the Moonleap app. #### Agreement Moonleap is provided by Darko Jovanovski, an independent developer based in North Macedonia ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). If these terms and the Apple EULA conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled. #### Not medical advice Moonleap gives general information about patterns many babies show, based on published research on infant development. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Leap dates are estimates; every baby is different, and a leap arriving early, late or not noticeably at all is normal. Milestones are common age windows, not deadlines. If you are worried about your baby's development, health, feeding, sleep or crying, talk to your doctor or health visitor. If your baby has a fever, trouble breathing, refuses feeds, or you think it is an emergency, call your local emergency number straight away, whatever the app shows. #### Moonleap Plus and subscriptions The core app is free: the leap chart, the signs for every leap, leaps 1 and 2 in full, the diary and reminders. Moonleap Plus unlocks the rest and is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Where a free trial is offered, if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts and you're charged. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the paid period. Purchases may be shared with your family through Apple Family Sharing where enabled. All purchases are processed by Apple; refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple's policies. Nothing here limits refund or withdrawal rights you have by law. We may change Plus features or prices. Price changes for an existing subscription follow Apple's rules, including asking for your consent where required. #### Licence We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple EULA and Apple's Usage Rules. #### Acceptable use Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app or its content; don't try to bypass purchases or security; and don't use the app in a way that breaks the law or harms others. #### Content and photos The app's text, leap descriptions, play activities, design and code belong to us or our licensors. Stock photos are used under the Unsplash and Pexels licences. Moonleap is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any book, author or other app about developmental leaps. Your diary, notes and photos are yours and stay on your device. #### No warranty The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we don't promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. If you're a consumer, you keep the statutory rights you have under the laws of your country. #### Limitation of liability To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss arising from relying on dates, signs, milestones or suggestions in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that can't be limited by law. #### Ending You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, no warranty and liability) continue after that. #### Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, without affecting mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. #### Changes We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll mention it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms. #### Contact hello@moonleap.app
