Babies don't read the chart
Leap charts are a helpful map, but parents tell the same two stories again and again.
"The dates were off for us"
Leaps often arrive a week early or late. A chart that only predicts, and never checks, leaves you second-guessing at 3 a.m.
"I had to pay before I saw anything"
Nobody wants to subscribe to an app they've never tried, especially with a newborn and no sleep.
Three taps to your baby's chart
Add the due date
Leaps follow the due date, not the birthday, so premature babies are counted right.
See the moons
Ten leaps to about 18 months. Each one waxes to a full moon at its peak, then wanes into calm.
Play and write it down
Tick the signs, try a game made for this leap, and keep a diary that sorts itself by leap.
Ask Moonleap anything
"Is this a leap or teething?" Answers are written on your iPhone by Apple's on-device model, from Moonleap's guide and your own diary, with the sources shown. Nothing you type leaves your phone, and questions about symptoms always point you to your doctor.

Fitted to your baby, not a template
Rate each day with one tap. Moonleap compares the moods with the leaps and, when your baby runs early or late, offers to move the whole chart. Scrub to any week, and add every leap to your calendar.

Night mode
Red light and low brightness, "Is this a leap?" answered from your baby's own chart, a calm checklist to work through, and soft brown noise. Note the night in one tap.

What to do, not just what to expect
Every leap has games built for the skills it brings, with photos, what you need and simple steps. Widgets on the Home and Lock Screen show the moon and the days to calm.

A month worth keeping
Your notes and photos become a monthly card, with a short recap written on your iPhone. Share it with grandparents, or send the whole diary to your partner: it merges, nothing is overwritten.

The answer is on your Lock Screen
No need to open the app at 3 a.m. Widgets show the moon and the days to calm, today's leap can sit in the Dynamic Island, and the evening check-in is answered with one tap, right from the notification.

Questions parents ask about Moonleap
What is a developmental leap?
Researchers noticed that many babies go through short, fussy stretches at similar ages, counted from the due date, often followed by new skills. Moonleap maps ten of them over the first 18 months or so. Timing varies by a week or two, and every baby is different.
Why the due date and not the birthday?
Brain development follows the time since conception, so a baby born three weeks early usually reaches each leap three weeks later than their birthday suggests.
Is this medical advice?
No. It's general information to help you understand fussy days. If your baby has a fever, feeds poorly, or cries in a way that worries you, call your doctor.
Do I need an account?
No. Your baby's data stays on your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud if you sync your devices. There is no sign-up and no tracking. Anonymous usage stats and crash reports help us improve the app; you can switch them off in Settings.
Does the AI send my questions anywhere?
No. Ask Moonleap uses Apple's on-device model, so questions and answers never leave your iPhone. It needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence; on other iPhones Moonleap shows the matching pages of its guide instead. It is not a doctor, and symptom questions are always pointed to yours.
Can my partner use it too?
Yes. Send your baby's diary from Settings; on their iPhone it merges without overwriting anything, and they can send theirs back. Plus is shared through Apple Family Sharing at no extra cost.
When is my baby's next leap?
Count from the due date: the first leap usually starts around week 5, then nine more follow until about 18 months. Moonleap shows your baby's dates, and the free leap calculator works in any browser.
How much does Moonleap cost?
The chart, the signs for every leap and the diary are free. Moonleap Plus is $29.99 once, $19.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $3.99 a month (US prices).
Can I cancel?
Yes, in one tap from your iPhone's Settings. We remind you two days before a free trial ends. Or skip subscriptions and pay once.
